The Wagner’s story is one I will never forget because it shows the difference Jesus brings in the most tragic, unimaginable circumstances | Fox News
In so many ways we see reminders of how fractured our country remains. Yet, there are many stories, often unreported, that bring us back to the hope we have in renewal and reconciliation with one another and with God.
Sixteen years ago this weekend my dear friends Dan and Lynn Wagner lost their only two daughters, Carrie and Mandie (age 14 and 16) to a drunk driver while the family was returning home from a Luis Palau Beachfest. I share their story in the final chapter of my new book Unimaginable: What Our World Would Be Like Without Christianity because through their faith in God, they forgave the drunk driver and maintain a relationship with the individual (and even share their story publicly in church events together). Still the loss is severely felt and this weekend we remember Carrie and Mandie. We are heartened by the profound faith of Dan and Lynn.
I hope you will take a moment to read my latest oped over at Fox News and share Dan and Lynn’s story with your community and social network. THIS is the message our country needs today.
